About the Author
Nikhat Powell
Nikhat Powell writes from a corner of a long, low room in which several generations have already lived. Her memoirs trace the quiet currents of a life — family, place, work, and the gradual, unspectacular labour of becoming oneself. The four volumes of Seeds of Change are her gift to her children, to her readers, and to anyone willing to sit with a story told slowly.
When she is not writing, she is usually arranging photographs, listening to old recordings, or planning the next slow journey. She believes that every family keeps a library in its bones, and that part of our work is simply to help it speak.
